MISSISSIPPI — A man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly firing shots into a home on Broadmoor Avenue, Columbia police said.
The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. on August 23, 2025. Officers arrived on the scene within minutes and apprehended Laroncus Conerly just two minutes later.
Columbia Police Chief Adrien Fortenberry praised the quick response, saying, “Without their quick action, there’s no telling how much worse the situation could have become.”
Conerly faces three counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The investigation is ongoing.
