MISSISSIPPI — A man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl from Adams County, authorities announced.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Victor Alfonso Xol Mez was taken into custody by Concordia Parish deputies during a traffic stop in Clayton, Louisiana, on October 12, 2025.
Investigators reported that the girl was last seen at a residence on Duck Pond Road around 11:00 p.m. on October 11. Sheriff Patten confirmed that she was safely recovered in Louisiana.
“We are extremely thankful for the quick coordination between our office and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office,” Patten said.
Xol Mez has been charged with kidnapping, and the investigation remains ongoing.
