OHIO — A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after he was found attempting to enter the Honda Warehouse on Hunter Place while under the influence of drugs.

According to Bellefontaine police, officers responded to the warehouse shortly before 8:00 a.m. after an employee reported a suspicious man pulling on doors around the building.

The caller described the individual as wearing a yellow t-shirt and white hat and said he appeared to be intoxicated.

Officers located the man, identified as Bradley Tackett, walking along Hunter Place with two associates following him at a distance.

Tackett initially told officers he had used cocaine several days earlier but later admitted to using it that same morning.

A plastic cellophane wrapper was found in his pocket, and while it appeared empty, it later tested positive for cocaine residue.

Tackett was arrested for possession of cocaine and public intoxication. He was taken to the Logan County Jail, where a urine test confirmed cocaine was still in his system.

All evidence has been placed into police custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
