MISSISSIPPI — A man is facing additional charges in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation, Gluckstadt police announced.
Kendarius M. Bess, who was initially arrested on May 27, has now been charged with two counts of trafficking by sale of a controlled substance in a restricted area.
The new charges come after further investigation led to the recovery of approximately 19,000 multi-colored pills suspected to contain fentanyl.
Bess appeared before Gluckstadt Municipal Court, where he was issued a $2 million bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor.
He remains in custody and has been transferred to the Madison County Detention Center.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
