MICHIGAN — A traffic stop in Presque Isle County led to the seizure of nearly a pound of illegal drugs, cash, and a loaded handgun, according to authorities.
On June 24, deputies with the Michigan State Police Alpena Post and the Huron Area Narcotics Team (HUNT) conducted a traffic stop on 451 Road in Hawks Township.
During the stop, investigators searched the suspect’s vehicle and discovered approximately 170 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 114 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 25 grams of crack cocaine, multiple Dollar General gift cards ranging from $50 to $100, and $536 in cash.
Following the vehicle search, a further search was conducted at the suspect’s residence.
Authorities seized an additional 42 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 60 grams of powder cocaine, 46 oxycodone pills, seven hydrocodone pills, $300 in cash, hundreds of small baggies commonly used to package narcotics, and a loaded unregistered handgun.

The total weight of the narcotics seized is 437.3 grams, or approximately 0.96 pounds.
A 63-year-old man from Millersburg was arrested and is currently being held at the Presque Isle County Jail. Authorities have not released the suspect’s name pending arraignment.
