
MISSISSIPPI — A 42-year-old Pearl man has been arrested following an undercover narcotics investigation in Rankin County, according to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, the Pearl Police Department and agents from multiple federal agencies executed search and arrest warrants Monday at a home on Bruin Avenue in Pearl. Authorities said the warrants were the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation in Rankin County.
During the operation, investigators arrested Steven Richard Hoffland, 42. Bryan Bailey said Hoffland is suspected of receiving and selling large quantities of methamphetamine.
Hoffland is charged with possession of a controlled substance, trafficking a controlled substance and sale of a controlled substance. He is currently being held at the Rankin County Jail on a $900,000 bond.
Sheriff Bailey said the investigation is ongoing and could lead to additional arrests.
