More severe storms expected in Ohio this week

OHIO — Central Ohio is bracing for another round of severe weather just days after storms swept through the region.

A strong, fast-moving weather system is expected to arrive Wednesday, bringing the potential for severe storms and heavy rainfall.

Temperatures will climb into the mid-70s by Wednesday afternoon, fueling the development of strong storms.

The most significant threat for severe weather is expected from Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.

Forecasters warn that all types of severe weather are possible, including isolated thunderstorms and widespread storm activity.

Central Ohio is already under an elevated risk for severe weather during this period.

The threat of storms will continue into Thursday, though the severity remains uncertain.

However, the Storm Prediction Center has placed much of central Ohio under a severe weather risk again, with the highest threat expected south of I-70.

Flooding is also a major concern, with heavy rainfall expected late Wednesday through Thursday.

Low-lying areas prone to flooding may experience standing water, making travel hazardous—especially at night.

Residents are urged to stay informed and have a plan in place to receive weather alerts as conditions develop.
