NORTH CAROLINA — More than 1,500 Duke Energy customers lost electricity Tuesday morning in the Pawtuckett area of west Charlotte, just north of Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
According to Duke Energy, the outage occurred around 10:14 a.m. and left 1,552 customers without power.
The company reported that the disruption was caused by an object coming into contact with power lines, though officials did not specify what the object was.
Duke Energy estimated that service would be fully restored by 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Customers can monitor outages and sign up for alerts through the utility’s website.
