NORTH CAROLINA — A death investigation in east Charlotte has been upgraded to a homicide case, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Medic officials said they responded around 5 p.m. Saturday to the area of Central Avenue near Eastcrest Drive but referred additional questions to police.
Around that same time, CMPD confirmed that detectives had launched a homicide investigation.
No further details about the victim or circumstances surrounding the incident have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
