Four people arrested following drug bust in Georgia

GEORGIA — Four people were arrested in Jenkins County following multiple search warrants that resulted in the seizure of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and firearms, authorities said.

On Aug. 22, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit, in collaboration with the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, and Rincon Police Department K-9 Unit, executed two warrants at the Sunset Inn on US-25 in Millen and one at a home on the 700 block of Old Waynesboro Road in Millen.

Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby deputized ECSO investigators to assist with the investigation. Authorities reported seizing several firearms, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, multiple controlled substances, tools for distributing drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash.

Marquette Wadley was arrested at the home on Old Waynesboro Road and charged with possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana with intent to distribute.

Shavelle Lovette and Karen Summers were arrested at the Sunset Inn and charged with possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin, and other controlled substances with intent to distribute; possession of tools for the commission of a felony; use of a communication device to facilitate a felony; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Artravious Adams was also arrested at the Sunset Inn and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a felony.
