LOUISIANA — Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in Tangipahoa Parish, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies were notified around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, of a crash at the intersection of North Baptist Road and Sunset Acres.

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities identified the victim as 46-year-old Michael Ribando Jr.

Officials described the second vehicle as a light-colored sedan. Investigators said it was traveling northbound on North Baptist Road before turning right onto Wardline Road.
