Bicyclist dead after being struck by two vehicles in Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI — A bicyclist was killed in a crash early Sunday morning on Highway 611 in Jackson County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 5 a.m. on April 12. A 35-year-old man, identified as Temario Compton of Mobile, Alabama, was riding a bicycle when he was struck by two vehicles traveling northbound.

Investigators said a Honda Accord and a Toyota Camry both collided with the bicyclist. Compton sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials reported that the drivers of both vehicles were not injured in the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
