MISSISSIPPI — A Powerball ticket sold in Mississippi won a $50,000 prize in the Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 drawing, lottery officials announced.
The winning numbers drawn Monday night were 4, 18, 24, 51, 56, with Powerball number 14. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 2x. The Mississippi ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball to earn the $50,000 prize.
No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, which was estimated at $88 million for the drawing. The cash value option for the jackpot was listed at approximately $39.8 million.
Lottery officials have not released details about where in Mississippi the winning ticket was sold or the identity of the winner. Winners are advised to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Mississippi Lottery to claim their prize.
The Powerball jackpot will roll over to the next drawing, offering players another chance at the growing top prize.
