GEORGIA — A 21-year-old woman has died following a crash on Georgia Highway 21 Monday afternoon, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Authorities reported that an SUV traveling south on Highway 21 was turning left onto Rice Mill Road when it collided with a northbound tractor-trailer. The front of the tractor-trailer struck the passenger-side doors of the SUV.
The passenger, identified as Hannah Katherine Ghidotti, was transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital but later died from her injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement assisted with the investigation. Charges are pending the results of the investigation.
