MISSISSIPPI — A Mississippi lottery player won $2 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, marking the state’s second multi-million-dollar win in consecutive days.

The winner matched all five white balls, and the Power Play add-on doubled the prize to $2 million. The ticket was purchased at Mike’s Food & Gas in Coldwater, northwest of Oxford. Wednesday’s winning numbers were 9, 12, 22, 41, 61, with a Powerball of 25.

This comes a day after a Gulf Coast player won $2 million in the Mega Millions drawing.

In addition, the Mississippi Lottery announced a $60,000 Mississippi Match 5 winner in New Albany. That ticket was purchased at Tony’s Quick Mart.
