$2 million lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A woman from New Carlisle has claimed the top prize in the Ohio Lottery’s $2,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off game, winning $80,000 a year for 25 years.

The winner chose the lump-sum cash option of $1 million. After required state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, she will receive $720,000.

She purchased the lucky ticket at Speedway #9616, located at 830 E. National Road in Vandalia.

$2,000,000 Extreme Cash is a $20 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $80,000 annually for 25 years. As of May 28, 2025, one top prize remains.
