VIRGINIA — Fifteen people were taken into custody Sunday afternoon after a brawl erupted at the Greenfield Apartments on Longview Road, according to the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD).
Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Longview Road around 3 p.m. on June 15 following reports of a large fight. Police said they de‑escalated the conflict and “restored order” at the scene.
During the response, authorities instructed nearby residents to remain inside their homes while the incident was investigated.
Investigators said the 15 arrests were for participation in the altercation and for failing to comply with officers’ commands.
