OHIO — While no one claimed the $449 million Powerball jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing, one lucky Ohio player is $1 million richer.
The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday, August 6, were 15, 27, 43, 35, and 53. The Powerball was 9, and the Power Play multiplier was 2x.
A $1 million ticket was sold at a Circle K in Seville, Ohio, located about 43 miles south of Cleveland. The ticket matched all five white balls, missing only the Powerball.
In addition to the $1 million winner, thousands of other Ohio players won smaller prizes. Here is the breakdown of statewide winners:
The odds of matching all five white balls to win $1 million are 1 in 11,688,053. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. Overall, the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.87.
The Powerball jackpot now grows to an estimated $482 million for the next drawing on Saturday, August 9. The cash option is valued at $218.9 million.
