SOUTH CAROLINA — A death investigation is underway after a woman was found outside a rescue mission Tuesday night in Greenville, South Carolina.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the 64-year-old woman was discovered in cardiac arrest outside the Greenville Rescue Mission near the intersection of West Washington Street and South Hudson Street.
Officials said the woman was transported to Saint Francis Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has been confirmed, but authorities said her name will not be released until proper notification of next of kin has been completed.
The coroner’s office said an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
