SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP — A woman is in critical condition following a high-speed crash in Greene County on Sunday night.
Sugarcreek Township police and fire crews responded to the scene in the 6400 block of Wilmington Pike around 7:30 p.m., according to News Center 7.
The woman was driving south on Wilmington Pike when she struck a light pole, then crossed an intersection and hit another light pole and a crosswalk pole before her vehicle came to a stop.
Debris from the car was scattered across the roadway as a result of the impact.
Investigators estimate the woman’s speed was between 75 to 90 mph at the time of the crash.
The woman was flown to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are continuing to interview witnesses and plan to speak with the driver once her condition stabilizes.
