SOUTH CAROLINA — A Marlboro County woman is facing charges after reportedly bringing a weapon onto the grounds of Clio Elementary School on Friday morning.
According to the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, Samantha Widman has been charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and disturbing schools.
The Marlboro County School District said the school was placed on lockdown as a precaution after the incident.
Widman was taken into custody and is being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center, where she awaits a bond hearing. The Clio Police Department assisted in the response.
