Winning Powerball ticket sold in Ohio

OHIO — John, an Andover resident, won $150,000 in the Monday, September 23, 2024, Powerball drawing.

His son purchased the winning ticket at Village Tobacco, located at 62 Public Square in Andover.

John chose his own numbers, matching 4-of-5 numbers plus the Powerball to win $50,000.

By adding the Power Play option to his ticket, his prize was tripled to $150,000. The winning numbers were 15-21-25-37-45, with the Powerball 19 and Power Play 3.

“I couldn’t believe I won,” John said. He plans to use his winnings to purchase land.

The odds of matching 4-of-5 numbers plus the Powerball are 1 in 913,129. The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, December 28, is an estimated $145 million.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education.
