OHIO — Two Medina County residents are celebrating a Mega Millions win after Tuesday night’s drawing, taking home $7,200 after taxes.
The Ohio Lottery reports that the winning ticket was sold at Spencer Main Street Market, located in the 100 block of South Main Street in the village of Spencer.
The winners matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball, earning a $10,000 prize before taxes.
While the local winners claimed a smaller prize, nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot on Friday, pushing the grand prize to $944 million.
This marks the seventh-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history and could become the biggest prize ever won in December.
The next drawing is scheduled for Christmas Eve at 11 p.m.
