OHIO — One lucky Ohio Lottery player has started 2025 with a million-dollar win.
A ticket purchased at Winners Corner, located at 2036 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg, matched five of the five white balls in the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, January 15, securing a $1 million prize.
The winning numbers were 8-41-52-53-58, with the Powerball 7 and Power Play 3. The ticket was an auto-pick selection.
The odds of matching all five white balls to win $1 million are 1 in 11,688,054.
After federal and state taxes, totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $720,000.
The next Powerball drawing, set for Saturday, January 18, has an estimated jackpot of $331 million.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state. More information about the lottery’s impact on education can be found at www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
