OHIO — A man was taken into custody Friday evening after fleeing from deputies and hiding in a trash can following a reported domestic violence incident, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Harrison Township substation responded to the 2300 block of Oneida Avenue around 7 p.m. for a domestic violence call. When they arrived, the man ran from the home, crossing I-75 and entering a nearby neighborhood on the east side.
The area was searched using a drone and a K-9 unit. Officials said the man was eventually found hiding in a trash can behind a home.
He was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on domestic violence charges, as well as an unrelated warrant.
