VIRGINIA — A gas leak discovered Thursday afternoon forced the temporary closure of Colonial Elementary School.
Officials said the leak was found at approximately 4:30 p.m., and crews were able to locate and stop it shortly afterward.
As a precaution, the school will remain closed on Friday to allow repair teams time to complete necessary work and ensure the building is safe for students and staff.
All other schools in the division will operate on a normal schedule.
