
VIRGINIA — Several school divisions across northern and central Virginia will operate on delayed schedules Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, as districts continue to respond to recent winter weather and road conditions.
According to school officials, Fairfax County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday. The district also operated on a two-hour delay Thursday.
Fauquier County Public Schools will also have a two-hour delay Friday, as will Fredericksburg City Public Schools.
Loudoun County Public Schools announced a two-hour delay for students from Tuesday, Feb. 3, through Friday, Feb. 6. Administrative offices in Loudoun County will open on time each day despite the student delays.
In the Manassas area, both Manassas City Public Schools and Manassas Park City Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Friday. Manassas City Public Schools also delayed classes by two hours Thursday.
Prince William County Public Schools will open two hours late Friday, along with Spotsylvania County Public Schools.
In Spotsylvania County, officials said there will be no morning ECSE preschool classes Friday, while afternoon classes will begin on time. Twelve-month employees and essential staff are required to report to work on time, while all other employees will report two hours late.
