Vehicle fire shuts down part of Ohio interstate

OHIO — Fire crews from the Miami Valley Fire District are responding to a vehicle fire on Interstate 75 near Austin Boulevard this evening.

The fire, reported on the southbound side of the highway just south of Austin Landing, is causing traffic disruptions.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the right lanes are blocked, but the left lane remains open to traffic.

In a social media update, the Miami Valley Fire District warned drivers to “expect delays until crews clear” and urged motorists to use caution in the area.

No additional details about the fire or potential injuries were immediately available.

Drivers are advised to plan for delays and consider alternate routes.
