MICHIGAN — A crash involving multiple vehicles, including a semi truck, has closed a portion of westbound I-96 near M-50, east of Alden Nash Avenue.
The accident occurred before 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Michigan State Police confirmed there were injuries, but the number of people hurt and the severity of their injuries remain unclear.
Troopers are advising drivers to avoid the area as traffic remains heavily backed up.
