
INDIANA — A crash involving a semitrailer and a passenger vehicle has caused significant traffic delays Monday morning on U.S. 24 between Roanoke and Huntington.
According to Huntington County Emergency Management and the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were called to the scene near the intersection of U.S. 24 and North 200 East around 10 a.m.
Officials said the collision appeared to have occurred in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24. The cause of the crash has not been released, and it was not immediately clear whether any injuries were reported.
The crash has led to traffic congestion in the area, prompting officials to advise drivers to avoid the roadway if possible. Motorists unable to find an alternate route are urged to drive cautiously, expect delays, and watch for possible lane restrictions.
