
OHIO — U.S. Marshals are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Damario McCall, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in Akron.
According to Akron Police and U.S. Marshals, McCall has been on the run since July 5, when he allegedly shot and killed 26-year-old Ar’mon R. Covington at a BP gas station on Grant Street.
Police say the incident occurred in the early morning hours, when Covington attempted to intervene as McCall was harassing women in the parking lot. Covington was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
McCall is wanted on murder and weapons charges. Authorities have described him as armed and dangerous. He is known to frequent the Cleveland and Akron areas.
McCall is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 195 pounds, and was last seen wearing eyeglasses with thick prescription lenses.
