U.S. Marshals searching for wanted fugitive in Texas

TEXAS — The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s help in locating 44-year-old Christopher Calhoun, who is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following an incident involving his wife at a hotel in May.

Authorities say Calhoun assaulted his wife inside their room at the La Quinta Inn in Round Rock after she confronted him about an affair.

The family, who had recently lost a significant amount of money and been evicted from their apartment, had been staying in hotels for approximately two months.

Following the assault, Calhoun fled the scene and has not been seen since. His wife and their three children were later found walking along the side of the road by a concerned driver.

The driver took the woman to the Round Rock Police Department, where she reported the assault.

She was later taken to a hospital, where a scan revealed a fractured facial bone near her left eye.

Court records show Calhoun has a prior domestic violence charge from 2013 in San Diego, California. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Authorities believe Calhoun may still be in the Austin area and possibly living out of a hotel.

Anyone with information about Calhoun’s whereabouts is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0101, submit a tip online, or notify the nearest law enforcement agency. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
