
PENNSYLVANIA — The U.S. Marshals Service Middle District of Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s help in locating 20-year-old Malachi Allah Darden, who is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Scranton.
A warrant for Darden’s arrest was issued by the Scranton Police Department on May 17, 2024.
He faces charges of homicide and related offenses stemming from a shooting that occurred on the 1800 block of Jackson Street.
Darden is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities believe he may be in the Bronx, New York, but he also has ties to areas in Northeastern Pennsylvania, including Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to Darden’s arrest. Anyone with tips is urged to call 1-877-WANTED2 (926-8332) or use the USMS Tips App.
The USMS Fugitive Task Force includes 22 partner agencies, such as the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Wilkes-Barre and Kingston Police Departments, and the sheriff’s offices of Bradford and Carbon counties, along with the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office.
