TENNESSEE — A man wanted for a 2023 murder in Memphis has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Deunta Youngblood, 31, was taken into custody on March 4, 2025, by the U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Team.
Authorities located him at a residence in the 4600 block of Chancellor Cove, where he was found hiding in a closet.
He was arrested without further incident.
Youngblood was wanted in connection with the death of Shanqualus Morgan.
On October 11, 2023, Memphis police responded to an incident near the 1600 block of Rayburn Street, where Morgan had sustained injuries. He died two days later.
A first-degree murder warrant was issued for Youngblood on January 15, 2025.
The TRVFTF, a multi-agency task force operating in Western Tennessee, has apprehended more than 3,000 violent offenders and sexual predators since 2021. The unit includes Deputy U.S. Marshals, local law enforcement officers, and state agencies.
