OHIO — Two fugitives wanted in separate violent crimes were apprehended Tuesday afternoon by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), U.S. Marshals announced.
Oturi Germany, 46, and Oturiana Germany, 28, were arrested inside a vehicle near the 5100 block of E. 117th Street in Garfield Heights. Two firearms were recovered at the scene.
Oturi Germany was sought by Cleveland police for aggravated murder in connection with the January 10, 2025, killing of a man found in a storage room basement on E. 78th Street.
The victim died from a gunshot wound to the back. A warrant for Oturi’s arrest was issued after investigators identified him as a suspect.
Oturiana Germany faced a felonious assault warrant from Barberton police tied to a February 17, 2025, shooting at Washington Square Apartments.
A male victim sustained three non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the incident.
The NOVFTF, a multi-agency team led by U.S. Marshals, located and arrested both suspects without incident.
“Thankfully, no one was hurt during the arrest, and our task force was able to take two violent fugitives and firearms off the street today,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. He praised the task force’s “outstanding officers” for their role in ensuring a safe operation.
Authorities urge anyone with information on fugitives to contact the NOVFTF at 1-866-4WANTED (1-866-492-6833) or submit tips online at www.usmarshals.gov/tips.
