
LOUISIANA — Two men from Texas were arrested on March 12 for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into the Federal Correctional Institution Pollock using a drone.
According to authorities, Michael Blanco, 31, of Dallas, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and taking contraband into a prison.
Sedarius Miles, 30, of Balch Springs, Texas, was also arrested in connection with the incident. He faces charges of taking contraband into a prison, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Officials say the two arrests mark the 11th and 12th individuals taken into custody in 2026 for allegedly attempting to smuggle contraband into the prison. Authorities have not released additional details about the investigation.
