PENNSYLVANIA — Two students were injured Tuesday afternoon when a school bus and a car collided in Butler County, according to Karns City Area School District Superintendent Eric Ritzert.

Ritzert said the crash involved Bus 211, a nine-passenger vehicle carrying two students, and occurred around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Conerty and Rattigan Roads.

One student was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and released to their parents, while another was taken to the hospital as a precaution after suffering cuts to the head.

Both the bus driver and the driver of the other vehicle were checked by medical personnel at the scene and were reported to be uninjured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
