KENTUCKY — Two people were hospitalized Tuesday evening after a marked Kentucky State Police (KSP) cruiser collided with a passenger vehicle in the Hindman community.
According to KSP, the crash occurred around 5:19 p.m. on KY-80. Troopers said the patrol vehicle, driven by Anthony Bersaglia, was traveling eastbound when it struck the rear bumper of another eastbound car. Bersaglia was reportedly driving from Post 13 to his garage for scheduled cruiser maintenance.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, Debroah Wallen, and a juvenile riding with her were taken to Hazard ARH with possible minor injuries. Bersaglia was not injured.
KSP says the crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed.
