OHIO — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged after two people were assaulted at a southeast Columbus restaurant earlier this week, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called Monday to the 2700 block of Brice Road, where they found two individuals injured. Police said one victim was unresponsive. Medics from Truro Township transported that victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second victim was treated at the scene and was not transported.

Because of the severity of the injuries, homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

On Thursday, police arrested 27-year-old Ja’Quawn Bridgmon and charged him with two counts of felonious assault. He appeared in court Friday, where his bond was set at $1 million.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
