PENNSYLVANIA — Two people were hospitalized Monday morning after a crash involving a car and a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 26th Street and Liberty Avenue around 9 a.m. for a report of a crash with entrapment.

Officials said the PRT bus was stopped at the intersection when a car struck it from behind. About 15 passengers were on the bus at the time, but no injuries were reported among them.

Two people were pulled from the car and taken to a nearby hospital. They are listed in stable condition.

Port Authority police are investigating the cause of the crash.
