Two people injured following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — Two 19-year-old women were injured in a rollover crash late Saturday night in Darke County, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash happened around 11:49 p.m. in the 3700 block of McNutt Road. Investigators determined that a blue 2013 Ford Taurus, driven by a 19-year-old woman from Arcanum, was traveling northwest when it crossed the centerline.

The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide off the road into a bean field, where it rolled before coming to rest on its roof.

During the rollover, the passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Pitsburg, was ejected from the vehicle. She was flown to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The driver was transported to Wayne Hospital.

Authorities said both women sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
