OHIO — Two people were taken to the hospital Monday evening following a rear-end collision on State Route 47, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the crash occurred just after 6 p.m. when a 2019 Infiniti Q60, driven by 39-year-old Hayley Palmer of Bellefontaine, slowed to turn into a driveway. Her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2017 Chevy Tahoe.
The Tahoe was driven by 18-year-old Ke’Shawn Blackwell of Huntsville. Blackwell and a 13-year-old passenger were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation of possible minor injuries.
Officials said Blackwell was cited for following too closely. Deputies also reported he had been using an electronic device at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
