FLORIDA — Two people were transported to the hospital following a crash Wednesday morning in Brooksville, according to Hernando County Fire Rescue.
Officials said the crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Cortez Boulevard at Ray Creek Drive and involved two vehicles.
Following the crash, authorities temporarily shut down the eastbound lanes of Cortez Boulevard while emergency crews responded to the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
Officials have not released details on the conditions of the individuals who were hospitalized.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
