FLORIDA — Two people were injured Thursday evening in a crash on South Blue Angel Parkway in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on State Road 173/South Blue Angel Parkway near Sorrento Road/State Road 292.

Authorities said a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling north on Blue Angel Parkway while a Toyota Camry was traveling east and attempting to turn left from the Walmart service road. As the Camry crossed the median, the front of the vehicle struck the left side of the Santa Fe.

The impact caused the Santa Fe to spin and come to rest facing south in the northbound inside lane of Blue Angel Parkway, according to the crash report.

Two Pensacola men, ages 40 and 71, who were inside the Santa Fe were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Camry was driven by a 41-year-old man from Milton. Officials did not release information about his condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
