
ARIZONA — Two people are in critical condition after a crash early Friday morning in north Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
First responders were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. near 32nd Street and Bell Road after reports of a vehicle crashing into a utility pole. When firefighters arrived, they found two people inside the vehicle.
Both occupants were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Officials said a woman was in extremely critical condition, while a man was listed in critical condition.
Phoenix police also responded to the scene and began investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities closed 32nd Street in both directions south of Bell Road while crews worked at the scene.
The circumstances that led to the crash remain under investigation.
