OHIO — Akron police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 900 block of Palmetto Avenue around 12:45 p.m. and found two male victims at the scene.
A 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the torso, while a 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm.
Both were taken to local hospitals with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Police recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.
The department’s Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident.
