Two people injured following shooting incident in Ohio

OHIO — Two people were injured in a shooting Saturday night in the Short North area, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers responded around 9:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting at the intersection of North Pearl Street and Bollinger Place, near Goodale Park.

One victim was taken to Grant Medical Center and the other to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Both were reported to be in stable condition.

Police have closed North High Street from East Lincoln Street to Warren Street as the investigation continues.

Earlier in the evening, Columbus Taco Fest at Goodale Park ended two hours early after reports of fights.

Police asked festivalgoers to leave around 8 p.m. It is unclear whether the shooting is connected to the event.

At least one person has been detained, though police have not confirmed if they are a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
