KENTUCKY — Two people were injured in a shooting at a party early Saturday morning in Anderson County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers were called to reports of shots fired around 1:27 a.m. at an Airbnb on Lover’s Leap Road in Lawrenceburg. Investigators said approximately 50 to 75 Kentucky State University students were attending the gathering when a large fight broke out. During the altercation, a gun was fired.

Darris Ivy, 19, of Saint Clair, Illinois, and Kamora Laye, 20, of Louisville, were both struck by gunfire. Authorities said their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The two were taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital for treatment.

State police said detectives have been unable to obtain information about a suspect because of a lack of cooperation from partygoers. The investigation is ongoing as officers continue to process evidence.
