OHIO — A fight involving seven women escalated into a shootout near the Aronoff Center in downtown Cincinnati early Monday morning, leaving two women injured.
According to Cincinnati police, the altercation began at a nearby bar and moved to the corner of Walnut Street and East 7th Street around 2:45 a.m.
During the fight, one person pulled out a gun and began firing. Another individual also drew a weapon and returned fire.
A 29-year-old woman was shot in the thigh and sustained a shrapnel wound to her shoulder.
She was taken to UC Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Another woman required medical treatment after being kicked in the head.
No arrests have been made, but police are reviewing surveillance footage from several nearby cameras to identify the suspects. The cause of the fight remains under investigation.
