OHIO — Two people were hospitalized following a shooting and subsequent car crash in Dayton on Thursday evening.
According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, Dayton police and medics responded to reports of a shooting in the first block of Oxford Avenue around 7 p.m.
Sgt. Philip Watts of the Dayton Police Department confirmed that two individuals suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals.
Authorities said the incident began as a shooting before escalating into a two-car crash.
Police have not released details on a suspect or the conditions of those injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
